I attended a wedding today that defies all odds. Two people, seriously disabled, one with muscular dystrophy who can only move his head a little and was never expected to live this long, and one with cerebral palsy who cannot speak and has very little muscle control. Yet they both can love so obviously, smile so broadly, (ok there was giggling too!), appreciate so wholly, and risk so completely. I cannot remember a time that I was prouder to be a human being, knowing that all is right in the world, at least for this moment. The fact that I introduced them made it that much more special, but they are pretty freakin' special all by themselves. This post is dedicated to Natasha and Chris.
Much love, elly
